As'trame Foundation: a podcast dedicated to the topic of children of parents with an addiction.

Two speakers from the As'Trame Foundation appear in this episode of the Vla-Ti-Pa Podcast, which focuses on the topic of "children of parents with addiction." Their extensive experience working with these families allows them to empathize with the child's experience, better understand their needs and coping mechanisms, and bridge the gap between their situation and our adult perceptions.

The LET'S TALK ABOUT CHILDREN project

The Let's Talk About Children program was designed by Finnish psychiatrist Tytti Solantaus. It is a short psychosocial intervention to help parents, made vulnerable by life's challenges, to support their child's well-being, learning, and development.
It has been implemented in 9 European countries but no French-speaking countries. Several members of Etincelles&Co attended the review of this phase, which was funded by European funds.

We are in contact with the University of Turku (Finland) and are looking for partners and funding to deploy this program in order to "make prevention systemic and not ad hoc or crisis-focused".

Mental health disorders and parental function: what are the implications for child development?

Between risks and possibilities…

What professional in the social sector, in child protection, is not confronted with situations in which a parent, a child or an adolescent is described as having behavioral disorders, psychological or personality disorders, a psychiatric pathology or a mental illness?

Faced with these situations, everyone may have felt destabilized, insecure, uncomfortable in the relationship, or even helpless in their intervention posture.
